A stage is a heightened platform to create height against the direct environment. It is used to give a presentation or speak to a crowd. It can be either solid or easily unassembled. A stage that can be unassembled consists of a tube construction with plates mounted onto it. Because demountable stages are build-up and taken down very often, aluminum is very popular material for the tubes.

A stage can be supported in different ways. For example, a so called scissor construction can be applied where the tubes are mounted cross-links. It is also possible to support the stage by using a standard construction with the tubes mounted straight under the surface. Another option is to use telescope tubes that can be adjusted in height. Stages can be used inside as well as outside.
